The results will contribute to obtaining detailed information about the state of conservation of the species under study and advancing future studies about the natural history of these rodent species threatened with extinction.

The construction of an ecogeographic map, together with the results of habitat quality and the ecological niche, will be an important contribution to the knowledge of the Andean region's fauna, becoming an important tool for planning and executing future conservation plans for said species.
